Job Responsibilities
National Vision is seeking a Temporary Merchandising Associate to join our Merchandising team. This short-term role will support essential merchandising functions, including JDA-related operations, retail data management, and assist in preparing merchandise presentation. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, a foundational understanding of retail lifecycles, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily merchandising tasks and updates in JDA.
- Support the contact lens team on various merchandising projects.
- Assist in preparing visual and data-driven merchandising presentations.
- Enter, analyze, and report data using Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.
- Maintain product lifecycle tracking and support basic retail processes.
- Occasionally engage in hands-on merchandising requiring the ability to lift up to 20 lbs (less than 10% of the time).
Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
- Familiarity with retail concepts and product lifecycles.
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups) and Office Suite.
- Experience with JDA is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Oracle is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills for team collaboration and interaction with store teams.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
